How safe is my data?

We take the security of your data very seriously.

Encryption

Your data is encrypted by the OneCloudBackup software prior to it leaving your PC. This means that not only is the data fully encrypted as it travels over the internet, the only person who can access your encrypted files once they are stored on our servers is someone with access to your private encryption key (i.e. no-one but yourself).

RAID data storage

The servers that store your backups are protected by RAID data storage, which means that even if a physical hard drive fails, no data is lost.

We also make backups of your backups!

We maintain an additional backup copy of your data in a different physical location to ensure that your data can be retrieved even if the main backup server or data centre it is hosted in was unavailable for some unforseen reason.
